Payroll for your courier business

The recorded tours become the pay — from gross pay through social security and withholding tax to the payout and the salary certificate in January.

From the parcels driven to the amount in the account.

What your drivers recorded becomes their pay — and it goes as far along that road as your business needs. The road has six stages; which of them Tourlio walks is your decision, and you make it with the payroll scope.

  1. 01

    Gross pay

Out of the pay model: per parcel with a rate per category, fixed pay, fixed plus variable, commission or hourly.

  2. 02

    Supplements and deductions

Holiday compensation and expenses added, vehicle rent and insurance taken off — one global rule for everyone, with exceptions per driver.

  3. 03

    Social deductions

AHV/IV/EO, ALV, NBU, BVG and KTG with the values that apply for the year, the employee’s and the employer’s share kept apart.

  4. 04

    Withholding tax at source (Quellensteuer)

Out of the canton’s official ESTV tariffs, resolved per driver. Tourlio suggests the tariff code.

  5. 05

    Net pay

What the driver has earned once everything that had to come off has come off.

  6. 06

    Payout

Rounded to five centimes, and handed to the bank as one payment file instead of forty single transfers.

Settings → payroll scope: the three scopes “Einfach”, “Mit Sozialabzügen” and “Voll” to choose from, “Voll” selected, below each of them a sentence on what it calculates; underneath the second card “Rundung der Auszahlung” offering “Auf 5 Rappen” or “Keine Rundung”.
Three scopes, one decision: what your business does not need does not stand in the way either. You can switch at any time, and back again — as long as nothing is recorded that asks for more.

Basic

Gross pay, supplements, deductions, payout. Whoever lets the Treuhänder (Swiss fiduciary) run the payroll needs no more than that.

Without stages 3 and 4.

Standard

Plus the social deductions, the wage account, the salary certificate and the three annual declarations for AHV, UVG and BVG.

Without stage 4.

Full

Plus the withholding tax out of the ESTV tariffs and the accounting entries for your bookkeeping.

The whole road.

The payroll scope is a setting, not a price tier. All three are in every plan, switchable in an afternoon — and whoever records something that asks for more is moved up by Tourlio itself.

01 — Month-end

From driver data to a finished PDF in three steps.

The recorded assignments become a draft statement per driver. Check it, release it — one by one or the whole month at once — done.

Replaces hours of spreadsheet typing on the first weekend of the month.

All details
  • Five pay models, deductions included Per parcel with a rate per category, fixed pay, fixed plus variable, commission, or hourly — for the whole business or differently per driver. Deductions such as vehicle rent or insurance work the same way: one global rule, exceptions per employee.
  • Releasing locks it down The draft can be corrected, releasing freezes it. After that no price change touches it — in October the statement shows the same figures it showed on 1 September.
  • PDF, CSV and Excel PDF for the driver, CSV or Excel for the Treuhänder — and the export says how much of the month it covers.
A driver’s statement for July 2026: on the left the invoice from revenue and pay per parcel via the supplements to gross pay, then on through social deductions, net pay, withholding tax, deductions and rounding down to the payout; on the right the snapshot with usage days, working hours and withholding rate plus the PDF download.
2,593 express parcels at 3.40 revenue and 2.20 pay: the statement exactly as it goes into the PDF — once released, the figure is still the same a month later.
02 — Deductions and tax

From gross pay to what actually arrives.

In Switzerland, social deductions and withholding tax are not a footnote. Tourlio calculates them per driver and per month — with the values that apply for the year, and from the tariffs the federal tax administration publishes.

Replaces the call to your fiduciary asking why net pay looks different this time.

All details
  • Social deductions per category AHV/IV/EO, ALV, NBU, BVG and KTG — depending on the kind, a rate on gross pay, a rate up to the annual ceiling, or a fixed monthly contribution, the employee’s and the employer’s share kept apart. No figure is prefilled; the rule says where it comes from.
  • Withholding tax out of the official tariffs The canton’s ESTV tariffs, read in and resolved per driver. Tourlio suggests the tariff code — the decision is yours.
  • Pro rata on entry and exit Someone who starts on the twelfth does not pay the full monthly contribution. Fixed pay, monthly flat amounts and annual ceilings are split by calendar days, and the statement says so: “Beschäftigt 18 von 30 Tagen” — employed 18 of 30 days.
  • Released stays released A rate that changes in October leaves the released September alone.
The same statement for July 2026, read from the bottom: under the gross pay the social deductions AHV/IV/EO, ALV, NBU and BVG, the first three with a rate and an amount, the BVG with a fixed monthly contribution, the net pay, the withholding tax with tariff code ZH B2Y, supplements and deductions, the rounding to five centimes and at the very bottom the payout.
AHV, ALV, NBU and BVG off the gross pay, the withholding tax by tariff — and below it what is left for the driver.
03 — Year-end

By January the year is already written.

Twelve months of released statements add up to the year-end paperwork — without anyone having to gather it together.

Replaces the January with twelve folders spread across the table.

All details
  • A wage account per driver Every month with its gross pay, deductions and net pay, plus the total for the year. As a table, for your fiduciary and for you.
  • The salary certificate as a PDF The salary certificate in the structure of Formular 11, filled from the released months.
  • The three annual declarations The AHV wage declaration and the UVG and BVG annual declarations, one line per driver — as a table for your fiduciary to file.
  • Accounting entries and payment file The wages as accounting entries for your bookkeeping, the payout as one file for the bank.
Year end 2026: at the top the key figures for total gross pay, social deductions, withholding tax and payout, below them per driver the number of released months, gross pay, social deductions, net pay, withholding tax, payout and the months still open; above it all the button for the annual declarations.
Seven drivers, four of them released up to August and the rest up to July: the wage account, the salary certificate and the three annual declarations stand ready, without anyone having gathered a thing.

Tourlio calculates the pay and lays out the paperwork: the statement and the salary certificate for the driver, the wage account, the accounting entries and the three annual declarations as a table for your fiduciary. Filing them with the compensation office and the insurer stays with your fiduciary — Tourlio does not submit anything electronically.
